Listerine Agent Cool Blue Recall

OnApril 12, 2007,The U.S. Food and Drug Administrationannounced a voluntary nationwide recall of all lots of Listerine Agent Cool Blue Plaque-Detecting Rinse. TheFDA said the manufacturer of the rinse, McNeil-PPC Inc., a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, decided to recall approximately 4 million bottles after finding the rinse had been contaminated with microorganisms.
Although the risk of illness in healthy people is reported to be very low, the FDA said there could be a significant health risk to individuals with weakened or suppressed immune systems.
