Immediately move to a safe area if possible and call 911. In the Escambia County crash, emergency responders arrived after reports of a collision involving an SUV and a bicyclist late at night. Prompt medical attention is critical after bicycle accidents because riders are especially vulnerable to serious or fatal injuries, even when injuries are not immediately visible.

Remain at the accident scene until law enforcement officers say you may leave. Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to investigate the deadly collision on North W Street. Report the accident to your insurance company as soon as possible.
